| The generation born today are continuously exposed,
even in the womb, to a cocktail of artificial chemicals in their daily life,
more so than any humans ever to have lived. In our homes, streets, schools
& shops, even in the countryside our bodies are assaulted by a wealth
of chemical & electomagnetic pollution that the human system has not
previously had to deal with. The safe limits of many chemicals that we come
into contact with each day are based upon testing each chemical separately.
Relatively little work has been done on the effects of these chemicals when
they are mixed together as they are in our food, air ,water, homes &
bodies. Over the last century we have seen the gradual decline in populations
of a wide range of species & emergence of a variey of new conditions
& diseases in our own population. Some of these conditions relate to
the build up of toxins to which we are exposed. All creatures & their
habitats are affected by this ongoing exposure to a soup of man made poisons
and the health of all of us & the wealth of creatures that share our
eco-system are threatened. There are a range of simple solutions to help
reduce our exposure. Some times of it is a question of information and some
times political will. At Sustainable Life we are dedicated to finding such
solutions & promoting them. |
